News - Google reveals its Android-based online music store

Jamie Rosenberg, Google's digital content director, talks about the company's new Android-based online music store.
Google's store, which has been launched in the US, will allow devices running its Android software to buy, store and stream MP3 files.

EMI, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal and 23 independent labels are providing content to create a library of 13 million songs.

However, Warner Music Group has opted not to take part at this point.
According to Jamie Rosenberg, speaking at a news conference in Los Angeles, the announcement is good news for self-released artists.
